JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Coordinator of Custodians
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree
OR
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the area of administration and/or supervision; a total minimum of seven (7) years in private and/or public operations for plant, property and equipment; and high school diploma or equivalent
- Administration and communication
- Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM)
- Required criminal history background check and proof of S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Director of Plant Property and Equipment
Supervises:
Supervisor of Custodians
Performance Requirements:
- Assigns or deploys custodians.
- Assign temporary substitutes in case of absences of an appointed custodian.
- Be responsible for schedules and maintenance of custodial staff.
- Be responsible for all requisitions and work orders for the custodial staff section except those requiring routine supplies.
- Routinely checks all school buildings for good repair, safety conditions, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of personnel.
- Twenty-four hour availability for any emergency that may occur ie. heating, malfunction of fire alarm (which requires manual resetting), break-ins, etc.
- Monitor all activities at Williams Field including the condition of grounds and
- Process vacation schedules, special leaves, etc. prior to being submitted to the Director of Plan, Property and Equipment.
- Develop and implement improved cleaning methods and products
- Sign and approve timecards to be submitted to the Director of Plant, Property &
- Follow up with the Purchasing Department material needed for the custodial staff.
- Maintain good public relationship with school, labor and industrial Attend meetings and conferences pertaining to custodial and sports events, to stay up-to-date with the latest cleaning methods and products.

Make periodic reports to the Division Director relating to custodial operations, sports events when required.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations bi-annually on all Head Custodians.
- Organize and implement training programs for custodial staff.
- Implement safety programs and procedures.
- Perform all other duties which the Director of Plant, Property and Equipment, Secretary-School Business Administrator and the Superintendent of Schools may see fit to assign.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) months; non-tenurable.
Evaluated by the Director of Plant, Property, and Equipment at least once per academic year.
Compensation and benefits as established by the collective negotiations agreement.
